It was so fun to be able to shop IN STORE at J. Crew in Boise and Portland. I was able to try on various sizes to see where I fit these days and find some new loves that came home with me and others that I will watch to hit sale. Oh, and a huge shout out to the lovely sales associates – they were SO kind and helpful that it makes me wish I had a local store just for the customer service. Although I can’t complain about my personal shopper, Lynette. No wonder J Crew is my favorite.
This top is sold out online but I tried it on and loved it. It’s a pop over with a cute zipper detail on the back. It’s a heavier knit that will be great for windy Idaho days.
Café Trouser in Linen $118 – I am smitten with this festival green color. It’s a great way to punch up office outfits this season and the linen is light weight, even with a lining.
Sequin Anchor Tank $98– Ahh, sequins. Of course it caught my eye. But, I felt that I already have a good amount of sequins in my closet that I couldn’t justify paying full price for this gem. I’m crossing my fingers it hits sale and I snag one before it sells out.
Featherweight Cotton Cardigan $65 – I could seriously scoop one up in every color. Featherweight is right – just the right thickness for summer layering, but at $65 per cardigan, it’s a steep purchase. I wonder if these will hit sale or if they will be a regular like the Jackie that JC doesn’t have to sale price them.
Luxe Utility Pant $85 – These pants were so fun and playful in a nice chino, but more on the casual end (not office appropriate for me) but I will keep an eye on them for sale for casual weekends.
I think this is a Trudy(?) cargo jacket – or I could be completely pulling that out of nowhere. It was on sale in store for a mere $39 so I grabbed it, but then back at the hotel it felt boxy and was missing a button, so I returned it. Sad face.
No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Double Serge Cotton (now on sale) $89.50 – I tried on the succulent green shade and wanted it, but it was still marked at full price. Now it’s on sale online with an additional 30% off with code LOVEIT at check out. It came home with me in the casablanca blue shade instead, which was on sale.
Bennett Chino $79.50 – I grabbed the poppy color but they were on sale in store and I only paid around $50 for this pair. These are easy to dress up and down and they flattered me bum and the hubs gave them two thumbs up so in the bag they went.
9” Chino Short $39 – These were on sale in store and now online plus additional percentage off so I’m glad I waited to get these, but how fun is this lemon zest color? I really liked these paired with the contrasting belt and the chino is a nice alternate to heavier denim shorts.
Phew, that wore me out and overall I am thrilled with the fun color I added to my wardrobe from J Crew. So how about this spring sale? Will you be adding any color?

That anchor blouse is amazing! I used to live near a JCrew and now that I have moved to a smaller town with no JCrew I definitely took it for granted :-) But it does make me appreciate it more when I do make it to a physical store!

Sky, I am literally drooling right now. You are going to LOVE the double-serge skirt ... I got it in jade, and it will definitely be in my closet for years. And I'm kind of freaking out about that sequin anchor tank with the green linen pants ... absolute perfection! Will keep my fingers crossed that the tank goes on sale. For both of us. ;) Love those poppy pants too... they are incredibly flattering!
Seriously love everything. The chino shorts are a great color. I need to check those out, love the length.
Lovely outfits! especially the bennett chino and the chino shorts on you! So cute! I, too, don't live near a J. Crew store and whenever I go in the store, like to try on new items and wait for the sale.
Tell me you got the green pants?! I love them!

Wow, great haul!! You got some cute stuff that will super versatile.
It's official, those green pants need to work their way into my closet. Do ou feel like they're a good investment piece at full price? I just can't imagine that green shade going on sale and me having enough time to grab my size before they sell out?
Did you buy the green trousers?!?!?!!???
@Kacie (and Sarah) - YES, the green linen trousers came home with me. ;)
@Ava
I definitely think the trousers are worth investing in. The quality is superb and the lining just adds to that. I had a hard time deciding between navy and green but ultimately I am thrilled with the green and they will be a statement piece for years to come. :)
Ahh, I'm having major clothes envy! I haven't done much shopping lately to curb my spending. I really love those chinos in that gorgeous poppy color!
