If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I was loving the Linen Dot Popover in J. Crew’s new arrivals on Thursday. Knowing that it was linen and in the line up for summer new arrivals, I knew it would be lightweight, but this one was definitely surprising. Online it was described as “breezy” – um, yes, breezy alright, and super sheer! Layered over a cami will be fine, but come the warmer months I don’t want any more layers than I absolutely have to!
Outfit Details: J Crew Linen Dot Popover / Forever21 Necklace
J Crew Belts / Banana Republic Cardigan / AE Pants (old)
J Crew Pyramid Stretch Bracelet / Giani Bibi Shoes (super old)
I’m in serious need right now for new dress pants. Everything I own right now after losing weight is too big and makes me feel like I’m walking around with some serious baggy bum issues. I’ve contemplated just getting alterations in lieu of buying all new pants (I have over 25 pair… ugh…) but truth be told I’ve been wearing more skirts and dresses anyway. SO, I may put a bunch on the blog for sale or EBay them, or have a garage sale… what are your thoughts?

What a fun top, and I'm loving it with the pink. Does it seem to wrinkle easily?
Your new top is so pretty, love the bracelet too. I like the 2 belt idea, it adds dimension and the top of color is nice too.
Very cute! and I love it with the pink! I'll have to try mine belted and with the cardi. :o)
Hi Skylette. I've just discovered your blog recently and I really enjoy reading your posts. Your outfits are always so stylish and cute!
I know you've mentioned buying your jcrew items on ebay. Do you do that more often than buying directly from them?
Thanks!
Janice
so how sheer are we talking? without a cami could you see your bra through the top? Just wondering because I may order it but like you said, I don't want to add a million layers!
Janice - First of all thank you, and welcome!
Secondly, I'd say right now I'm purchasing more clothing from the retailer simply because of promotions. I still find a lot of jewelry online via EBay for a lot less. I'm guessing sales associates buy it with their discoung then sell at a lower price while still making a little $$.
Julie - we're talking SHEER, as in yes, if I got closer to the camera with a flash you could see my bra for sure.
I'm digging on the double belt look. What a great concept and an easy/inexpensive bit of flair for an outfit.
Thanks for the reply! I was just wondering because I love jcrew so much but they are pretty pricey. I was trying to see if it would be better to purchase through ebay (cheaper prices) than online/store. :)

Love this sweater...sadly mine has a hole after just wearing once :(. Repairing it with same colored linen thread. CS was worthless when I contacted them....
