I had good intentions of doing a post on sporting different coats, and then I forgot – and now weather is supposed to be warming up, but I thought, “What the heck, why not?” I have a plethora of coats. I may buy a new one every year, but I have the hardest time getting rid of them so they stay with me and I find new ways to wear them. I have a few photos that I actually remembered to take as well as a bunch from previous blog posts:
1. J Crew – 2011
2. Alloy – 2004
3. The Buckle – 2005
4. Old Navy – 2010
5. Delia’s – 2003
6. Anthropologie – 2010
7. Bebe – 2007
8. Bohme (gift) – 2012
9. TJ Maxx – 2006
10. LOFT – 2011
11. Guess via Victoria’s Secret – 2008
The easiest way to spruce up your coats from one season to another is to swap out the buttons. I have yet to actually complete this project on a few coats but I know it will do so much for them. For example, the cream coat in picture #3 would look great with contrasting black buttons, I added a self made flower pin to the Old Navy military jacket and scarfs do SO much for an otherwise boring or outdated coat. Do you have any tricks you’d like to share?

You have so many great coats! My favorites are your trench paired with the leopard and the cropped yellowish-orange one. Super cute! I'll be taking a cue from you and adding to my coat collection soon in the mid-west I'm sure! =)
I am a coat addict. I actually have an extra little storage unit at my house where I keep them. Now this was ok when I was living in PA, but here in the desert it just seems ridiculous. All of yours are lovely, and I must admit that I'm a little jealous that you get to wear them so often!
PS - changing out the buttons is a great idea. Generally just try to mix things up with scarves, but buttons are an easy, cheap and more permanent update.
Okay, so is this is or do you have more? :) love it. I never would have guessed you've had some since early 2000's! They look great! How do you keep them looking so great? Frequent dry cleaning? Thanks!
fabulous - and they're all timeless!
Yes, they are all timeless! I think adding black buttons to your cream coat would be very Chanel-esque!
Te bright yellow is my absolute favorite!
*the ;)
I would love to steal ANY of those!
